In light of the significant scientific and technological advancements witnessed globally in various fields and the challenges associated with keeping pace with these developments by enhancing knowledge both quantitatively and qualitatively, and providing various engineering specialties to meet the increasing demand for specialized engineers in different industrial fields, the field of chemical engineering is considered one of the most important engineering specialties that has seen increased demand recently in the global job market in general, and the Arab and local market in particular. Therefore, the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Refining at Basrah University for Oil and Gas strives to be one of the scientific establishments that can positively contribute to the preparation and graduation of qualified scientific cadres of engineers specialized in the field of chemical engineering to supply the labor market in the private and public sectors in Iraq and the region. The department is keen to provide a competent teaching staff and outstanding and advanced curricula by simulating modern global curricula adopted in the field of chemical engineering and continuous and analytical study of the curricula.
