Learning and Teaching Strategies استراتيجيات التعلم والتعليم |

Strategies |
The main strategy for delivering this module is to actively engage students in exercises, encouraging their participation and fostering the development of their critical thinking skills. This will be achieved through a combination of interactive classes, engaging tutorials, and the incorporation of simple experiments that involve sampling activities to pique student interest.
During classes, students will be encouraged to actively participate in exercises and discussions, allowing for a deeper understanding of the basic rock properties and petrophysics concepts. Interactive tutorials will provide opportunities for students to apply their knowledge, ask questions, and engage in problem-solving activities related to the different types of well logs. To enhance the learning experience, the course will include simple experiments involving sampling activities. These activities will not only make the learning process more enjoyable but also provide students with practical insights and hands-on experience in analyzing and interpreting well log data. By adopting this approach, the course aims to not only provide theoretical knowledge but also develop students' critical thinking abilities, problem-solving skills, and their ability to apply concepts to real-world scenarios. The combination of interactive classes, tutorials, and engaging experiments will create a dynamic learning environment that encourages active participation and a comprehensive understanding of the course content. |

Note: Marks Decimal places above or below 0.5 will be rounded to the higher or lower full mark (for example a mark of 54.5 will be rounded to 55, whereas a mark of 54.4 will be rounded to 54. The University has a policy NOT to condone "near-pass fails" so the only adjustment to marks awarded by the original marker(s) will be the automatic rounding outlined above. |
