The processes of production of number of petrochemicals as following:
Acetic acid – Acrylic acid – Acrylonitrile – Alkylbenzene - Ammonia - Aniline – Aromatics extraction - Aromatics extractive distillation - Aromatization – Benzene – Bisphenol- Butadiene - Butyraldehyde, Carboxylic acid – Dimethyl carbonate - Dimethyl terephthalate –Dimethylformamide – Ethanol-to-ethylene oxide/ethylene glycols – Ethers Ethyl acetate Ethylbenzene – Ethylbenzene – Ethylene – Ethylene glycols (EG) – Ethylene oxide –Ethylene recovery from refinery off gas with contaminant removal – Formaldehyde – Hexene-1 – Isobutylene –Isomerization - Iso-octene/Iso-octane – Maleic anhydride –Melamine, Methanol – Polyalkylene terephthalates-melt-to-resins (MTR) – Polyethylene – Polypropylene – Polystyrene –Propylene – Urea – Xylene isomerization . (125 hrs)

Strategies |
The main strategy that will be adopted in delivering this module is to encourage students’ participation in the exercises, while at the same time refining and expanding their critical thinking skills. This will be achieved through classes, interactive tutorials and by considering types of simple experiments involving some sampling activities that are interesting to the students.
